EXPERIENCE

My career began in public accounting in 1989 in the auditing and consulting department of Grant Thornton in Pretoria, South Africa. While at Grant Thornton, I provided auditing, accounting and consulting services for public companies, family owned businesses, and government organizations. On arriving in the United States in 1996 I joined Grossberg Company, a public accounting firm in Bethesda, Maryland providing auditing, accounting and tax preparation services for family owned businesses, and employee benefit plans. In 2000, I joined Valuation Services, Inc., a valuation and consulting firm in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Currently, I am in private practice providing consulting and valuation services to various professional service providers for purposes of divorce and marital dissolution, ESOP reporting, litigation support and gift and estate tax planning/reporting.

My valuation experience includes the valuation of fractional ownership interests
and privately owned businesses including ESOPs and I have been engaged as an Expert Witness in the areas of valuation of closely held businesses and fractional interests in closely held businesses. I am also trained in mediation and collaborative divorce. I am also an active member of national and local valuation related professional organizations.
