CDA has welcomed lots of new members in 2009, and we are so proud of the 14 attorney members who made the list of best divorce attorneys in December 2009's Washingtonian. CDA's focus for this year is public outreach, and in that vein members have been conducting local presentations on Collaborative Divorce for the DC Bar, the Divorce Roundtable, the National Association for Social Workers, Georgetown Law Center and George Washington University Law School. Our monthly membership meetings are being geared towards improving our Collaborative skills, and we are very excited to host a wonderful all day program on April 23, 2010 at the Bethesda North Marriott Conference Center with Jack Himmelstein and Katherine Miller, who presented at the IACP conf this Oct & are nationally recognized collaborative trainers with the Center for Understanding Conflict. Registration is open to all Collaborative professionals prior to 4/10/10. We look forward to working with all the other local groups in 2010 towards the further promotion of the Collaborative movement in the DC Metropolitan Area, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Conference in Washington, DC in October 2010! |
